How-do-you-do everyone, I recently did a fresh install of windows on my computer and re installed the Student software provided for my calculator.  While trying to actuate it it asks me to connect my computer.  I do this and then information technology tells me that my calculator was already used to activate a Student software program thing. D:  Does anyone know another style to transfer files to the Nspire CX CAS without the student software?  I've heard of TILP but I wasn't sure if it was uniform with the CX CAS.  I already emailed TI most information technology but they have not replied all the same.

They say that your signature is supposed to get here...

You lot tin can utilize the TI-Nspire Figurer Link Software.
Information technology doesn't need whatsoever license and it is lighter and faster than the pupil software (because designed only for transferring).

Maybe TiLP will work likewise but I really don't know about this ane.

Sweet thanks.  Do you know if I tin can update the OS that fashion too?

They say that your signature is supposed to become here...

Yes, both TINCLS (preferably version three.2) and TILP Two ane.xvi / i.17 beta tin can communicate with a CX (CAS) and, among other things, upgrade the Bone.
Present, these can be installed side by side, with some manual configuration.

TILP supports most things that TINC(L)S support; among other things, nested folders are missing, and Bone 3.2 isn't supported well (TI changed the protocols once again without documenting, as usual) - but many people don't intendance about that defective OS version (all the same).

Yeah sadly the Educatee software licence is a one-fourth dimension license. Once y'all format your reckoner or get a new one, y'all're screwed. That's how greedy Texas Instruments can be.

Otherwise there is TiLP. I don't know if TiLP can update the OS, but the computer software can.

That said, provided 1 doesn't do it more than than several times, it's possible to phone call TI-Cares ("TI-DOESNT-CARE" :D) to explicate the trouble, and they provide new license keys :)

They still do? ??? I think someone saying it didn't work anymore... :(

I can't believe that!  Thats terrible.  Who doesn't format their bulldoze every one time in a while? TI actually doesn't care.  Thanks for the info though.  I'll check it out tomorrow since I need to sleep now.  Oh and does TiLP II work on windows?  I can dual boot a linux distro if I have to just I don't really want to if I don't have to.

Thank you. :)

Oh and does TiLP Ii work on windows?

Nosotros wouldn't suggest it and write "these [TINC(Fifty)Southward and TILP" tin can be installed side by side" otherwise ;)

It'southward only Windows that has a problem with multiple drivers for the same piece of hardware, and requires ugly workarounds. MacOS X doesn't, Linux doesn't, the BSDs don't :)

[EDIT: gear up a typo.]

We wouldn't  suggest it and write "these [TINC(L)S and TILP" can be installed next" otherwise ;)

Information technology's only Windows that has a trouble with multiple drivers for the aforementioned piece of hardware, and requires ugly workarouns. MacOS Ten doesn't, Linux doesn't, the BSDs don't :)

Sorry nearly that.  I was really tired and I'll try it out when I get abode.

Yeah, that happened to me too when I got a new estimator. And TI would not give a new license.
"Luckily" for me I afterwards ripped the battery string when I was trying to have it out, so I bought a new nspire and thus new software.

They still do? ??? I call up someone saying it didn't work anymore... :(

I got TI to send me a new key so I estimate they still do.
